After Lifting Subsidies: LiveStock Company Leaning towards Directly Selling Meat to Restaurants & Hotels

Bahrain Mirror: Butchers at the central meat market in the Bahraini capital, Manama, said that the livestock company is leaning towards signing contracts with hotels and restaurants to directly sell them its products. The butchers expressed their dissatisfaction regarding this measure that will lead to reducing their sales. They will also be unable to cover their expenses.
The livestock company has distributed an application to the butchers, including the prices of meat after lifting subsidies. It stated that the price of the locally slaughtered Australian lamb meat will reach 2.850 BD, whereas the frozen meat will reach 2.450 BD.
The frozen Pakistani and Sudanese lamb meat will reach 3.050 BD, whereas the frozen beef will reach 1.900 BD. These prices will be the company's selling prices to the butchers. It is expected that the Australian lamb meat will reach 3Ò500 BD in the market.
