Local Newspaper: Parliament Leaning towards Lifting Subsidies on Diesel & Kerosene

Bahrain Mirror: Al-Ayam newspaper, owned by the Bahraini King's advisor Nabeel Al-Hamer, said that the committee assigned to review the redirection of subsidies on commodities and services is leaning towards approving "the governmental directives to lift the subsidies on Diesel and Kerosene".
The newspaper added that "the majority of the committee see that there is an necessity to approve some of the governmental directives to redirect subsidies, while adhering to the demand to have (Ration Cards)".
"A meeting was held on Wednesday (September 23, 2015) to vote and reach a final solution," it further stated.
Al-Ayam newspaper concluded by saying that "the government has not responded yet to any letter submitted by the Parliament, regarding the (Ration Card)".
