Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Interior, Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, received on Monday (August 10, 2015) the Director-General of the Jordanian Gendarmerie Forces, Hussain Mohammed Al-Hawatma, with whom he discussed cooperation and coordination in the field of security training.
The minister praised the "strong fraternal relations between the two countries, underlining the importance of such meetings to strengthen these fraternal relations and expand the horizons of security cooperation."
Bahrain uses a number of Jordanian police units to confront the popular protests that demand putting an end to the Al Khalifa family's monopoly of power. An official document revealed recently that the minister requested dispensing with one of these units.
