Khalil Al-Marzooq Interrogated for Two Hours before His Release

Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini security authorities released the political assistant of the Al-Wefaq Secretary-General, the prominent figure Khalil Al-Marzooq, early on Friday (July 31, 2015) after they questioned him for almost two hours at the cybercrime department in the Al-Adliya area, in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society stated that the Bahraini authorities summoned its Assistant Secretary General, Khalil Al-Marzooq, to appear "immediately" at the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) office for questioning, adding that the reasons behind summoning him remained unknown and that "his lawyer was prevented from accompanying him."
Activists on social media said that vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Interior were seen surrounding Al-Marzooq's house at 9:30 P.M. on Thursday (July 30, 2015).
Al-Marzooq headed to the CID office in Al-Adliya at 10:30 P.M. to be questioned in the cybercrime department at 11:30. The questioning ended at 1:20 A.M. and then he was released.
