Bahrain Mirror: The Bahraini Minister of Interior Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa launched a media campaign against Iran on Thursday (July 23, 2015) calling for "National Condemnation" of Tehran's interference in the Kingdom's internal affairs.

The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported that the minister said: "The Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain is completely unacceptable," accusing it of "smuggling explosives, weapons and ammunition into the kingdom, harboring fugitives and opening Iranian military camps to train the terrorist groups."

Meanwhile, the minister called on "all those who have love and loyalty to Bahrain in their hearts to condemn this and have a patriotic response" adding that "those who refuse this patriotic stance have chosen to accept acts of violence and terrorism and Iran's interference."

Rashid Al Khalifa warned of what he described as "double allegiance (...) which constitutes a legal violation without doubt." "What has led to this is fueling religious speeches with politics," he added.

"Those who support such a sovereign national stance deserve to be respected and appreciated by everyone," the minister further stated.

As soon as the minister's statement was published, societies, non-governmental organizations along with a number of pro-regime Members of Parliament began to issue statements that condemn the Iranian interference and stress on their support for the King of Bahrain and his government."
