Bahrain Mirror: The Political Assistant to the Secretary General of Al-Wefaq Sheikh Ali, Khalil Al-Marzouq, declared that the political solution that the opposition factions proposed in the Manama Document cannot be broken down, stressing that the option of a peaceful approach is strategic.

During an open meeting with the residents of Sanabes, Al-Marzouq said that the Manama Document represents a comprehensive view (...) "If we put the demand of having an elected government aside, then the approach won't stand anymore," he said.

"Our movement should be based on a long-term strategy, for progress of a peaceful approach is slow. So, in this movement, we must accept having sacrifices (...) as accepting the sacrifices of martyrs and detainees is part of this strategy," Al-Marzouq added.

As for the peaceful approach, he further stressed that "the peaceful approach is a strategic matter and without peacefulness, there is no way to achieving demands. The reality proves how the regime takes advantage of any incident by undermining the demands and defaming the opposition movement."
